Scholarship Program for Advance Africa from Access Bank and Udacity 2023
Access Bank and Udacity are pleased to offer chances for practical learning in disciplines including business analytics, programming, data science, product management, and digital marketing. Scholarship awardees will finish a portfolio of practical projects demonstrating their proficiency in highly sought-after IT skills. Your potential to launch a long-term career arises as a result of the growing demand for tech-savvy personnel as the globe becomes more dependent on digital tools.
The Program Phases
- Phase 1: Challenge Course
Three rolling cohorts made up of 20,000 applicants for the Access Bank Scholarship will be chosen to participate in the challenge course, with the third cohort starting in May 2023. There will be 10,000 participants in the next third cohort. Students complete one of the five initial Challenge Courses—Business Analytics, Intro to Programming, Programming for Data Science with Python, Product Management, or Digital Marketing—during this first stage of the scholarship. Each course lasts for five weeks and consists only of readings, content, and quizzes. During this time, learners should be ready to commit about 3 to 5 hours each week. Challenge course participants taking part in this program’s initial phase will interact with their classmates in a substantial, actively managed, student community.
- Phase 2: Nanodegree program
Scholarships will be given to 2,000 students in the form of three rolling cohorts for Business Analytics, Intro to Programming, Programming for Data Science with Python, Product Management, or Digital Marketing. There will be 1,000 full scholarships available in the forthcoming third cohort. These Nanodegree programs feature access to professional project reviews delivered by human project reviewers. Applicants must be willing to commit 5–10 hours each week for a period of two months.
Eligibility
- A STEM graduate or someone who has shown a genuine interest in a career in IT or digital media is required for the application.
- A laptop that is always available.
- Availability of a reliable power source and data network.
- Dedication to investing the program’s required time.
- To allow Udacity to share your information with the bank, you must consent before applying.
- Strongly recommended is a bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Around 20 to 30 years.
- The preference is firmly given to applicants who are based in Africa and come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Guinea, Mozambique, or Cameroon.
