(1) Accountant

Job Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our real estate company’s finance team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing financial reports to management.
  • The accountant will ensure that the company’s financial practices comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the company’s real estate transactions, including leases, rentals, and property sales
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for real estate operations
  • Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards for real estate transactions
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable for real estate transactions
  • Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Assist with financial audits related to real estate operations as needed
  • Provide financial advice and guidance related to real estate transactions to management

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a real estate company
  • Experience with financial reporting, analysis, and audit preparation for real estate transactions

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices for real estate transactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy in financial records

Remuneration

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Officer to join our team. The Field Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our real estate properties and ensuring that they are maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner
